Price's grade 6 class had the extreme pleasure of conversing via Sype with Col. Chris Hadfield on Friday January 28th. The students had the opportunity to ask Chris about what it was like to be in space, what kind of qualifications were required to be an astronaut and how he felt about his upcoming mission as commander of the International Space Station in 2012. Chris answered all of their questions and shared a very important message about going after your dreams and making the right choices to ensure that you can achieve all of your goals. As an expert in his field, he identified and explained the dangers of electricity at work or at play as well as the various methods by which electricity can be generated. This fun, easy, interactive event is taking place May 26th – 30th and is part of our Celebrate What’s Right with the World initiative. </p> <p class="MsoNormal"><span style="font-weight: bold;">How does it work? </span><br />During the week of May 26th and May 30th, students, staff and members of the community will have the opportunity to log-on to our <a href="http://www.district8celebrate.org" target="_blank">EYE SPY WHAT’S RIGHT website</a> and tell us something that is RIGHT with the world! Everyone who participates will be eligible for a prize!
